Chikankari is a hand-embroidered art form & thus requires a bit more care - though its very easy to maintain :

Gentle hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, or dry clean.
Don't wring or brush the embroidery, dry it in shade, and iron on low heat inside-out to protect the threadwork.
Slight variations in motif are natural — every piece is embroidered by hand.
